Woooaah! This research findings just smashed me off. I guess, if I was one of their respondent in the last 2 years of my life, I would also fall on that 80% negative thoughts bracket per day. Yup, it’s true. Humans are really creative and imaginative. We have this mind that can make a simple issue complicated and much terrible than it seems. We usually overthink and swim on the lake of “worrying and negative thoughts”. Our brain has been fixed to think and to create ideas however how can we get rid of our negative habits of producing negative thoughts?
Don’t you know that our mind and body are connected to each other ? They are best of friend. They care and make an empathy gesture towards each other. Once our mind dictates those negative and pessimistic thought, our body will somehow react/ respond on it. For an instance ; you’ve been thinking of something that is not yet happening and you’ve been worrying about it all day. The result , even before the day ends, you will feel exhausted and tired.
Negative thoughts are physically and mentally draining! It corrupts our peace of mind and produces negative phrase such as “I can’t”, “I won’t”, “I am not capable of”, “I didn’t matter”, “I am a loser”, “they hate me”, “I didn’t deserve” and a lot more. The same of whining, complaining and diminishing our own self-worth and I can say most of the time…other’s worth. These thought produces chemicals that weaken our body.
Our mind has been created intellectually and systematically, it can sort out negative and positive thoughts. Negative thoughts are like ball of wires in our brain that needs to be flatten and get rid of the mess that clog our mental ability to think positively.
This mind is ours. It is the greatest battle field that even soldiers are having a hard time to deal with it. We can control our own mind. We can get rid and limit those negative thoughts by renewing our mind and declaring positive thoughts. In this way, happiness will open its window vigorously. By creating positive thoughts will somehow increase our motivation in fulfilling our goals and plans during a day. Giving us a younger look because we tend to smile a lot more than usual.
Nobody wants to be stuck in a muddy ground and stinky polluted mind-set. We are all desiring to be happy. Just a little cleaning of your mind will do. Stop producing tons of negative thoughts. Fill your mind with happy memories and positive outlook in life.
